I agree with the statement that growing up in rural areas is more
advantageous than in urban areas because of the following two reasons.
To start with, children who
live in rural areas can find various real creatures while children in urban
area are playing with computer or other devices. In other words, as children
who live in cities are more exposed to the nature, they can easily enjoy their
environments. For example, one of my friends who had his childhood in the
country side told me his story; because he used to play in the mountain, he was
able to find various new trees or beautiful sites, which located in there.
However, when I was his age, I just played with my friends in the amusement
arcade as a city boy.
Plus, children in the
countryside are more likely to have various kinds of memories. As I mentioned
above statements, all of my friends in my young age met at the amusement arcade;
thus, my friends and I did not have many options to play with and have very
limited kinds of memories unlike children in the countryside.
For those two reasons, I
believe children in a rural area are highly likely to have more advantages than
those who live in cities.
