This film is about three Indian men – Rancho, Parhan and Rahul. It’s a story of their friendship and their adventure in pursuing their dreams. The story began when Parhan and Rahul were rushing to meet their old enemy who used to be envious of Rancho. They heard that this old folk found Rancho. It started with a flashback of how these three men met for the first time and their journey to find Rancho.
Parhan was forced by his father to study Engineering instead of photography. Rahul on the other hand, came from a low-level family living a humble life without plenty of foods to eat and clothes to wear. Lastly, Rancho is a mysterious guy who got into the prestigious College of Engineering in India where only the genius and highly intellectual students could enter. In the movie, Rancho showed his resistance against their university's irrational education system which is obsessed with competition. He deliberately disobeyed unreasonable teaching methods to express his disagreement and to suggest ways on how to improve them. However, his efforts were always in futile because of the conservative and one-track minded president of their university. This president was so proud of his rules and he hated delinquent students like Rancho. In the end, Rancho would always prove himself in the class and later on, he built his own Science School.
"Do what you like, then SUCCESS will follow you." This is the lesson learned in the story and Rancho's motto as well.
