U.S. President Barak Obama sometimes mention Korea, to encourage their public. He make a strength on Korean education on a view of efficiency. But if he look through Korean education, he would regret mentioning Korean education.
In my opinion, education should be separated as a 2 point. One is to make student future talented man. The other is to educate the public to live in social harmoniously. Korea still has a long way to go an advanced country. Because the education in korea only concentrate on the first one. So educationist only try to educate students for knowledge. Someone believes that going good university is the first priority to students. As a result of biased education, Korean student are wandering what they want and what they have to do. Even though they go to the university, just few of them satisfy their life.
So, we have to make a balance on education. We have to encourage our student even though they couldn’t make a good result on their curriculum. So, they must put more stress on their interest than subjects. Encourage and respect their interest and ability, we let them know how to live in society harmoniously. Students have to learn how to respect each other when they were young. Let them know how to live honestly and courteously. As a result our society will be more calmly and peaceful.

In my opinion, education should be separated into two points. One is to make the students become the future talented men and women of the country. The other is to educate them to live in social harmony. Korea still has a long way to go to be an advanced country. One of the reasons is because Korean education only concentrates on the first point. Educators only try to educate students for mere knowledge. Some people believe that going to a good university is the first priority of the students. As a result of biased education, Korean students are still wandering about what they want and what they have to do. Even if they go to a good university, just few of them are satisfied with their lives.
In conclusion, we have to make a balance in education. We have to encourage our students even though they couldn’t get a good grade on their subjects. More so, they must learn to put more importance/value on their interests rather than their subjects. We should encourage and respect their interests and abilities and let them know how to live in honesty, courtesy and social harmony. In addition, students must also learn how to respect each other at their young age. As a result, our society will be more calm and peaceful.
