I was assigned the homework to make 3 sentences using the expressions in Norms, Unit 2. 


1. eat out 

I asked the girl to eat out on this Friday evening, but she politely declined my invitation. 


2. play hard to get 

I tried to play hard to get at her invitation for dinner, but she noticed that I was so excited to eat out with her. 


3. take someone seriously 

It is sometimes difficult to take all colleagues at work seriously, even if I have to cooperate with them closely.
