(Narration)

 

I want to narrate about a movie “The Secret”, which I saw last year. This Taiwanese movie is about the love story of high school boy and girl, fulled with beautiful piano music.

 Young and famous actor Ju Gul-ryun who is expected as a rising star in Taiwan directed the movie and played the high-school boy himself. Ju Gul-ryun is also a talented musician. He played piano himself on the movie.

   The background of the story is a music academy which has long history and many talented students. One day, a boy transferred to this school and met a girl by chance on his first day of this school. When he saw the girl, she played an old piano in an old room of the school. He was touched by the melody that she played. He talked with her about the music and things about the school. He wanted to know her more.

   However, he couldn’t see her everyday. She was absent the school a lot. The girl sometimes came to school, but the boy couldn’t expect when she came. When they met, although it was not easy for them to meet each other, they played a duet music in a practice room. The girl taught the melody that she played when they first met to him. The name of the music was “The Secret”. She said, “Don’t play this music on the old piano in the old room.” He memorized the whole melody without note. The boy appeared very talented in this movie winning the piano battle.

 Time went by.  It was early spring when the boy first met the girl, but now it’s already autumn. One day she came to school and met him. She was pale and seemed to sick. The girl wanted to meet him again but he seemed to have a new girlfriend. But it was misunderstanding that she didn’ know. The girl left him with cry.

 The truth was that the boy always wanted to meet her. But there were mysterious things about her. Nobody knowed her. Nobody had seen her. He tried to solve “the secret” around her and finally he realized that she was not the person who lived the same age with him. (It is very long and complex story about how he solve the secret)

The girl came from the time of 20 years ago. She also was a student of the same Music academy. When she played the music “The Secret” on the old piano in the old room, she could go to the future, exactly 20 years advance. She had found the musical note by chance. When she played the melody she moved to the time when the boy was first transferred to this school. Unfortunately, when she moved to the future, she was invisible except to whom the person she was seen first. When the boy and the girl first met, the person who saw the girl for the first time was the boy. But this was not happened all the time.

Finally, the boy realized that this girl has always tried to meet him but she failed because she was invisible. He decided to go to the past when she lived. He played the music “The Secret” on the old piano with faster tempo because this old building was being destroying at that moment. He could go to the past when the girl lives. He finally met her but she didn’t know him. Maybe it was the time slightly before she met him. Anyway this movie finished with his smile to her, although he never go back to his age again.
